The Catawba Region is comprised of four counties in the north-central section of South Carolina. The Catawba Regional Council of Governments (CRCOG) was created in 1970 to provide a broad range of assistance to local governments in the region.
The region contains 22 municipalities and the federally recognized Catawba Indian Nation.
