The Catawba Regional Council of Governments (CRCOG) is one of ten regional South Carolina Councils of Governments. Established in 1972, CRCOG serves Chester, Lancaster, Union, and York counties, located in the north-central section of South Carolina. The region includes 22 municipalities and the federally recognized Catawba Indian Nation.
The members of the CRCOG Board of Directors are appointed either by their respective county councils in accordance with a membership formula or by the county legislative delegations. CRCOG is comprised of a professional staff with varied backgrounds in planning, economic and community development, finance, and workforce development.
In 1983, CRCOG established an affiliate, the Catawba Regional Development Corporation (CRDC), to help small business, agribusinesses, and industries access capital sources unavailable through conventional lenders. CRDC is governed by a separate Board of Directors that is comprised of bankers, community leaders, and small business consultants.
CRCOG is an equal opportunity employer. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
