On Thursday, January 8, 2026, the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Catawba Regional Council of Governments hosted the Catawba Regional Forum at the Chester County Gateway Convention Center in Richburg. More than 210 attendees filled the ballroom to hear from a distinguished panel of speakers, including: Randy Imler, Executive Director of the Catawba Regional Council of Governments, who provided the introduction and welcome; 
City of Union Mayor Harold Thompson, who led the invocation and Pledge of Allegiance; Mark Truesdale, Budget Director for the South Carolina House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee, who presented an update on the South Carolina state budget; Jeff Sauser, Principal at Community Scale, who provided an update on the Catawba Housing Study; Dean Faile, President and CEO of the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce; and Joe 
Branham, Chairman of the Catawba Regional Council of Governments Board of Directors.
