Boral Stone Products is investing $6 million to expand its plant in the county. The expansion will add three jobs.
“Boral Stone Products has enjoyed a close, long-term relationship with the economic leaders of South Carolina and Chester County since opening our eastern manufacturing facility in 2001. We are committed to the region and are excited to implement improvements to the facility with this new investment.” said David Mariner, president of Boral Stone Products LLC.
The expansion will allow Boral to operate more efficiently and safely, company officials said.
Boral Stone Products makes stone veneer products for interior and exterior residential and commercial applications at its Chester County facility, 590 Ecology Lane.
Since January 2011, South Carolina has recruited more than $6.8 billion in capital investment and more than 16,000 jobs in the manufacturing sector, according to the state’s commerce department.
“The expansion at Boral gives us confidence that Chester County remains a ripe environment for existing businesses to expand and flourish. Chester County’s leadership continues to do what it takes to create a pro-business atmosphere that is proving to be attractive to our existing industrial partners. Congratulations Boral,” said Chester County Supervisor R. Carlisle Roddey.
