Sharonview Federal Credit Union is relocating its corporate headquarters within Lancaster County and plans to add scores of new jobs, the organization announced Wednesday.
Sharonview’s President and CEO Bill Partin said the credit union will move from its current digs near the Redstone Ventures campus in Indian Land to new headquarters a little further south on U.S. 521 at the Edgewater Corporate Center.
The credit union headquarters, which already provides about 182 jobs, will add 115 new jobs once the move is complete. Partin said the capital investment in the new headquarters will total $42 million.
The new headquarters will be in the office building previously occupied by multi-national engineering firm AECOM at 3023 HSBC Way.
Sharonview’s 180,000-square-foot corporate headquarters is projected to come online sometime in early 2019, he said.
“Sharonview is honored to call Lancaster County home since 2005, and we look forward to moving into this new, enhanced space,” Partin stated in a press release. “Our growth as a company has allowed us to not only expand our membership and services, but also our internal team. We greatly value the team members we have onboard and are proud to have the opportunity to grow that even more with our new headquarters.”
Hiring for the new positions has already begun and interested applicants should visit the company’s online careers page.
Established in 1955, Sharonview Federal Credit Union serves almost 80,000 members in the Carolinas and New Jersey, and manages more than $1.5 billion in assets. It is ranked as one of the top 200 credit unions in the country, and was recently named the top credit union in South Carolina by Forbes.
