Catawba Regional Center gets “green” roof

There is a new roof atop the Catawba Regional Center in Rock Hill. The once flat, gravel-covered roof is now a tapered “green” roof. A white Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) membrane now keeps the building water tight. This roofing system is Energy-Star rated and Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) certified. This system has also been directly attributed to a reduction in energy use and cooling costs. The membrane protects against harmful solar UV and weather, which provides a more efficient and longer lasting roof system.
