SCDOT seeks public comment for Federal-Aid Bridge Projects to be included in the STIP

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking public comment for the proposed scheduling of Federal-Aid Bridge projects approved by the SCDOT Commission in April 2014 pending available funding.

The projects include the replacement of 23 bridges and two culverts located in 16 counties across the state. Based on anticipated funding beginning in Federal Fiscal Year 2015, the proposed schedule includes project budgets by phase of work for engineering design, right-of-way acquisition, and construction. The projects will be included in the 2014-2019 Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP) pending consideration of public comments and coordination with Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO) Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), for projects located within urbanized areas.
