Providing Economic Development Solutions for the Catawba Region of South Carolina

Since its inception in 1970, Catawba Regional Council of Governments has been focused on creating and maintaining jobs and sustaining a competitive economic development environment within the region.  A key component of this effort has been the nurturing and enhancement of existing employment centers and the creation of new employment opportunities within the region.

Through the combined efforts of the Catawba Regional Development Corporation (CRDC) and the agency’s alliance with the federal Economic Development Administration (EDA), Catawba Regional Council of Governements has loaned over $74,000,000 and secured over $20,000,000 in EDA grant funds for the region.  This effort has resulted in thousands of jobs created or preserved within the state of South Carolina.
