Bring Your Best Ideas to the Southern Panhandle Hands-On Workshop

Bring your best ideas to the Southern Panhandle Hands-On Visioning Workshop happening Tuesday, November 5th at the Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 7095 Waxhaw Highway, Lancaster, SC.  The workshop will start at 5:30 pm and residents are asked to RSVP to crcog@catawbacog.org.

The Southern Panhandle Small Area Plan includes key areas surrounding Highway 521, south of the Indian Land community between Highway 75 and Highway 5.  The purpose of the small area plan is to develop a common vision for this area that has significant undeveloped assets and abundant natural and cultural resources.

“It is important that the community come out and share their ideas for the future of the Southern Panhandle.  We want to hear from the residents, property owners, and community stakeholders on the future development of this important area of Lancaster County,” said Katie See, Lancaster County Senior Planner.  “We hope everyone will take the time to come out and participate in the Hands-On Visioning Workshop and help shape the future of the Southern Panhandle.”

Tuesday’s workshop is just one of many events planned during the Southern Panhandle Visioning Week November 4th – 7th.   The Planning Studio at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church will be open to the public most of the week for anyone wanting to drop by and discuss the future the Southern Panhandle Planning Area. For Visioning Week events, residents are asked to enter the church through the Pavilion Entrance.
